Gazipur is a city in central Bangladesh, in Gazipur District within Dhaka Division, located about 25 kilometers north of the capital Dhaka. A major industrial city, Gazipur is the leading hub of Bangladesh's garment manufacturing industry, with the large majority of the country's garment factories concentrated in and around it, making the city central to the national export economy.
