Baise, also known as Bose, is the westernmost prefecture-level city of the Guangxi region in China, bordering Vietnam as well as the provinces of Guizhou and Yunnan. At the end of 2024 its registered population was 4,214,900 and its resident population was 3,464,700, of which about 47.22 percent lived in urban areas.
