Chenzhou is a prefecture-level city in the south of Hunan province, China, bordering Jiangxi to the east and Guangdong to the south. Its administrative area covers 19,317 square kilometers, about 9.2 percent of the province, and its population reached 4,581,779 at the 2010 census, with 26 percent living in urban areas and 74 percent in rural areas.
