Dandong

Dandong is a coastal prefecture-level city in southeastern Liaoning province, in northeastern China, and the country's largest border city, facing Sinuiju, North Korea, across the Yalu River, which forms the Sino-North Korean border there. It is a major trade hub through which a significant share of China's trade with North Korea flows. The prefecture-level city covers about 14,982 square kilometers and had a population of roughly 2.19 million at the 2020 census.
