Heze

Heze is the westernmost prefecture-level city in Shandong province, China, known as the Peony Capital of China and formerly called Caozhou. It borders the provinces of Henan and Anhui, and its population was 8,287,693 at the 2010 and again at the 2020 census, with about 1.35 million people living in the built-up urban area around Mudan District, across a total area of 12,256 square kilometers.
