Ji'an, Jiangxi

Ji'an is a prefecture-level city in central Jiangxi province, China, bordering Hunan province and lying beside the Luoxiao Mountains with the Gan River running through its center. Its name abbreviates the phrase Jitai Min'an, and it was formerly known as Luling and Jizhou. At the 2020 census its population was 4,469,176 across an area of 25,283 square kilometers, with about 643,000 people in its built-up urban area.
