Liupanshui is a prefecture-level city in western Guizhou province in the People's Republic of China. Its name combines characters drawn from its three constituent counties, Liuzhi, Panzhou and Shuicheng. The city covers about 9,926 square kilometers and had a population of just over 3 million at the 2020 census, one of Guizhou's largest cities, and is known locally for its notably temperate summers.
