Meishan, formerly known as Meizhou or Qingzhou, is a prefecture-level city in the southwest of the Sichuan Basin in Sichuan province, China, with 2,955,219 inhabitants at the 2020 census, of whom 1,232,648 lived in the built-up area formed by the districts of Dongpo and Pengshan.
