Mudanjiang, also romanized as Mutankiang, is a prefecture-level city in the southeastern part of Heilongjiang province, China, known as Botankou under Japanese occupation. It serves as a regional transport hub with a railway junction and an international airport, and lies about 248 kilometers from Vladivostok, Russia. Its GDP grew from 93.48 billion yuan in 2011 to 118.63 billion yuan in 2015.
