Qujing

Qujing is a prefecture-level city in the east of Yunnan province, China, bordering Guizhou province to the north and east and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to the south, historically valued as a strategic gateway between Yunnan and Guizhou. It forms part of the Central Yunnan Metropolitan Region plan in effect from 2016 to 2049, with an administrative population estimated at 6,047,000 in 2015, of whom about 1,408,500 lived in the metro area covering Qilin, Zhanyi and Malong districts.
