Shangrao

Shangrao is a medium-sized prefecture-level city in the northeast of Jiangxi province, China, bordering Anhui to the north, Zhejiang to the east and Fujian to the south, with its western reaches extending into Poyang Lake. It had a population of 6,491,088 at the 2020 census, of whom 1,293,399 lived in the built-up area formed by its Xinzhou and Guangxin districts. The city sits at the western edge of the Wu-speaking area, while most of its surrounding counties speak Gan.
