Shizuishan, formerly known as Shizuizi, is a prefecture-level city in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China, on the western bank of the Yellow River, and is the region's second most populous city after Yinchuan. It grew as a caravan hub on the northern routes to Beijing, and its economy today centers on coal mining, coking and metallurgy, alongside agriculture, tourism and viticulture. The city is administratively divided into Dawukou District, Huinong District and Pingluo County, and had a population of 739,400 at the end of 2024, with 601,600 living in its urban area. Its 2025 gross domestic product was about 58.0 billion yuan.
