Yichang, also romanized as Ichang, is a prefecture-level city in western Hubei province, China. It had a population of 3.92 million at the 2022 census, making it the third most populous city in Hubei. The city is known for the Three Gorges, the Three Gorges Dam, and the Gezhouba Dam, all located within its Yiling District.
