Yingtan is a prefecture-level city in the east of Jiangxi province, China, bordering Fujian province to the southeast. Its location near the point where Jiangxi, Fujian and Zhejiang meet has made it a strategically important city for centuries, and it continues to be a major rail transport hub. Known as the Capital of Copper, it is home to Jiangxi Copper and its Guixi Smelter.
