Banaswadi

Banaswadi is a locality in northeastern Bengaluru, in the Indian state of Karnataka, about six kilometers from the city center. It forms Ward 27 of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, the city's municipal authority, and is divided into the areas of Chikka Banaswadi and Dodda Banaswadi. Once a residential village on the city's outskirts, it grew rapidly with Bengaluru's urban expansion and its proximity to the international airport and the outer ring road connecting it to the city's technology hubs; a 2012 count recorded around 46,142 residents across 3.46 square kilometers, and the locality today also encompasses HRBR Layout, PNS Layout and OMBR Layout.
