Hassan, also known as Hasana, is a city and the headquarters of Hassan district and taluk in the Indian state of Karnataka, in the state's southwestern region. It serves as a center for agriculture, heritage tourism and trade, and is known as the gateway to the important temple sites of Hoysala architecture.
