Hulimavu is a residential locality in southern Bangalore, in the Indian state of Karnataka, administered under the Bommanahalli zone of the Bengaluru South city corporation. Formerly known as Amarapura, it takes its present name from the Kannada words for sour mango and is named after the adjoining Hulimavu Lake.
