Jigani

Jigani is a satellite town in Anekal taluk in South Bengaluru, in the Indian state of Karnataka, about 28 kilometers from the city railway station. Known as the granite hub of Bengaluru, it holds a well established industrial area with operations from companies including HCL, Toyota and Otis, and has grown rapidly since 2004 alongside nearby Electronics City and Bommasandra. The town includes Jigani Lake and Hennagara Lake among its lakes, and the ruined Varadaraja Temple, founded in the 14th century by the Hoysala king Veera Ballala III, still stands there.
