Latur

Latur, formerly called Ratnapur, is a city in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, India, located 43 kilometers from the epicenter of the destructive 1993 earthquake. It functions as a tourist hub featuring historical monuments such as the Kharosa Caves, and its economy, historically centered on agriculture in a drought-prone area, has grown increasingly dependent on education and related sectors.
