Moradabad is an industrial city and municipal corporation in Moradabad district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the Ramganga river. Based on the 2011 census it ranks as the tenth most populous city in the state and 54th in the country, and it serves as an employment, education, industry, culture and administrative hub for the western Uttar Pradesh region.
