Solapur

Solapur is a city in the southwestern region of the Indian state of Maharashtra, close to its border with Karnataka, positioned on a major highway and rail routes linking Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad, with a branch line to Kalaburagi and Vijayapura in Karnataka. Solapur Airport was inaugurated on 29 September 2024. It is classified as an A1 Tier and B-1 class city under the Indian government's House Rent Allowance classification, and ranks as the seventh biggest metropolitan urban agglomeration and the 11th most populated city in Maharashtra.
