Magetan is the town that serves as the administrative headquarters of Magetan Regency, an inland regency in the west of East Java Province, Indonesia, that borders Central Java Province. The regency it seats covers about 689 square kilometers and had a population of 670,812 at the 2020 census, with an official mid-2025 estimate of 694,841.
