Givatayim, whose name means two hills, is a city in Israel east of Tel Aviv and part of the Gush Dan metropolitan area, established in 1922 by pioneers of the Second Aliyah and declared a city in 1959. It had a population of 58,601 in 2024. The city takes its name from the Borochov and Kozlovsky hills on which it was founded, the latter being the highest point in the Gush Dan region at 85 meters above sea level.
