Kurashiki

Kurashiki is a city in Okayama Prefecture, in the Chugoku region of Japan, and is the second largest city in the prefecture. It had a population of 478,651 as of March 2023 across 355.63 square kilometers, with a mixed economy based on commerce, agriculture and heavy industry. The city achieved town status on April 1, 1891, was elevated to city status on April 1, 1928, and was designated a core city in 2002.
