Qasr Usaykhim

Qasr Usaykhim, also known as Qasr Aseikhin, was probably a Roman fortlet on the extreme eastern edge of the Limes Arabiae et Palaestinae, the Roman frontier defense system in the region. It is considered one of the most spectacular sites among the Roman forts in Jordan. Its ruins stand on the crest of a volcano in the Syrian Desert, in the Zarqa Governorate of Jordan, about 18 kilometers northeast of the town of Azraq, overlooking a wadi whose vegetation the elevation of the site allows to grow.
