Chifeng

Chifeng is a prefecture-level city in south eastern Inner Mongolia, China, bordered by Xilin Gol League to the north and west, Tongliao to the northeast, Chaoyang in Liaoning province to the southeast, and Chengde in Hebei province to the south. It covers an administrative area of 90,275 square kilometers and had a population of about 4 million at the 2020 census, though its urban core, concentrated in the Hongshan and Songshan districts, holds about 1.2 million people; the separate town of Yuanbaoshan lies roughly 27 kilometers from the city center. Chifeng was formerly the administrative center of the Ju Ud League.
