Ordos City

Ordos, also known historically as Ih Ju, is a prefecture-level city in Inner Mongolia, China, on the Ordos Plateau near the Yellow River, holding city status since 2001. It had about 2.15 million residents at the 2020 census and is made up of three separate urban centers, the traditional hub of Dongsheng, the newer development of Kangbashi, and Altan Xire, with built-up land covering only a small share of its large administrative area.
