Imus is a component city and the de jure capital of Cavite province in the Calabarzon region of the Philippines, about 20 kilometers south of Metro Manila. Known as the Flag Capital of the Philippines for the 1898 Battle of Alapan, where the first Philippine flag was flown, it became a city in 2012 and had a 2024 census population of 481,949; most provincial offices remain in Trece Martires, the de facto capital.
