Lingayen is a municipality and the capital of Pangasinan province, in the Ilocos Region of the Philippines. Founded in 1614 by Augustinian missionaries on the shore of Lingayen Gulf, it had a 2024 census population of 108,510 across 62.76 square kilometers. On January 9, 1945, Allied forces staged one of the largest amphibious landings of the Pacific theater of World War II along Lingayen Gulf, and the town is the birthplace of Fidel V. Ramos, the twelfth president of the Philippines.
