Diriyah is a town and governorate on the northwestern outskirts of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the original home of the House of Saud. It served as the capital of the Emirate of Diriyah under the first Saudi dynasty from 1727 to 1818, and its governorate today also includes the villages of Uyayna, Jubayla and Al-Ammariyyah as part of Riyadh Province.
