Goyang is a city in Gyeonggi Province in the northern part of South Korea, part of the Seoul Metropolitan Area and one of Seoul's satellite cities, with a population of just over one million, making it one of the largest cities in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. The planned city of Ilsan lies within Goyang's Ilsandong and Ilsanseo districts, while Deogyang District sits closer to Seoul.
