Jiji, Nantou

Jiji, also known as Chichi, is an urban township in the west-central part of Nantou County, Taiwan, the smallest of Taiwan's townships by land area at about 50 square kilometers, with a population of 10,056 as of February 2023. The township was the epicenter of the devastating 1999 Jiji earthquake, and it has since become a tourist destination built around its historic railway line, recognized in 2012 as one of Taiwan's Top 10 Small Tourist Towns.
