Kulob, also known as Khatlon, is a city in Khatlon Region in southern Tajikistan, located 203 kilometers southeast of the capital Dushanbe on the Yakhsu River. It is one of the largest cities in the country, with a population estimated at 106,300 for the city proper and 214,700 including outlying communities in 2020, and is served by Kulob Airport.
