Laem Chabang

Laem Chabang is a port city municipality spanning the Si Racha and Bang Lamung districts of Chonburi Province, Thailand. It grew up around its deep-sea port, described as the largest in Thailand and able to handle the largest Post-Panamax vessels, and lies on the coastal highway between Pattaya and Bangkok. More than 200 companies operate industrial factories there, making it one of the largest employers in the province, and the city is also known for a Japanese retirement community with stores catering to it. In 2019 it had a registered population of 88,271, with an estimated 60,000 additional unregistered workers.
