Astyra was a town of ancient Troad mentioned by Strabo, who places it above Abydus and records that it had once been an independent city but had become a ruined place belonging to the people of Abydus by his own time. Gold mines once worked there had been nearly exhausted by the time Strabo wrote about the town.
