Çeşme

Cesme is a municipality and district at the westernmost point of Turkey, on a peninsula in the Aegean Region within Izmir Province, about 85 kilometers west of the city of Izmir. It had a population of 48,924 in 2022 across 285 square kilometers. Cesme functions as a popular holiday resort built around thermal springs, beaches and windsurfing, and its name derives from the Persian word for fountain or spring, a reference to the Ottoman-era fountains found throughout the town.
