Heraeum, also known as Heraion or Heraion Teichos, was a Greek city in ancient Thrace, located on the Propontis a little east of Bisanthe, in what is now European Turkey. It was founded around 600 BCE as a colony of Samos, and in some ancient itineraries the place is called Hiereum or Ereon.
