Kyrbissos

Kyrbissos was a town of ancient Caria or of Ionia, in what is now Turkey. It was a member of the Delian League, appearing in Athenian tribute records between 454 and 445 BC, when it paid a phoros of 2,000 drachmae, and again in a tribute decree dated to 425 or 424 BC. A treaty dated to the 3rd century BC records a sympoliteia between Kyrbissos and the nearby city of Teos, under which Kyrbissos would be absorbed by Teos but would continue to exist rather than be destroyed.
