Nevşehir is a city in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey and the seat of Nevşehir Province and Nevşehir District. It lies about 290 kilometers from the capital Ankara, within the historical region of Cappadocia, and had a population of 128,290 as of 2024. The city has been designated a World Peace City by the United Nations.
