Passanda

Passanda, also known as Pasanda, was a town of ancient Caria, in what is now Turkey. It was a member of the Delian League, appearing in Athenian tribute records between 450 and 421 BC, when it paid a phoros of 3,000 drachmae. For at least part of the Hellenistic period it belonged to the territory of the nearby city of Kaunos. Passanda is also mentioned by Stephanus of Byzantium and by the ancient coastal itinerary known as the Stadiasmus, which places it thirty stadia from Kaunos.
