Placia, also called Plakia or Placa, was a town of ancient Mysia on the coast of the Propontis, at the foot of the Mysian Olympus east of Cyzicus, tentatively located near Kursunlu in Bursa Province, Turkey. According to Herodotus its Pelasgian inhabitants preserved their own ancient language. The town is recorded in the Periplus of Pseudo-Scylax and by later writers including Pomponius Mela, Dionysius of Halicarnassus, and Pliny the Elder.
