Pteleum, also called Pteleon, was a fortress town in the territory of Erythrae, in ancient Ionia, in what is now Turkey. The Roman writer Pliny the Elder mentions it alongside the towns of Helos and Dorium as near Erythrae, though Pliny appears to have confused these with the Triphylian towns named in Homer's Catalogue of Ships in the Iliad.
