Salmacis, also spelled Salmakis, was a town of ancient Caria on the western coast of Anatolia in what is now Turkey, known chiefly from inscriptions rather than narrative history, though its famous fountain is mentioned by the geographer Strabo. It was a city-state and a member of the Athenian-led Delian League, though its exact site has not been located.
