Dong Nai is a centrally governed city in the Southeast region of Vietnam, located northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. It was established as a city under a National Assembly resolution passed on April 24, 2026, taking effect on April 30, 2026, following Vietnam's 2025 administrative merger of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, which formed the wider Dong Nai Province around it.
