Ha Tinh

Ha Tinh is a city in Vietnams North Central Coast region, serving as the capital of Ha Tinh Province. It was upgraded to city status on 28 May 2007 and lies along National Highway 1A, about 340 kilometers south of Hanoi, 50 kilometers south of Vinh, and 314 kilometers north of Hue, roughly 12.5 kilometers from the South China Sea. Its population is about 380,000 across 230 square kilometers, giving a density of about 1,700 people per square kilometer, and the city is administratively divided into 10 wards and 6 communes.
