Goroka is the capital of Eastern Highlands Province in Papua New Guinea. It is a town of approximately 29,333 people as of 2021, situated 1,600 meters above sea level, on the Highlands Highway about 285 kilometers from Lae in Morobe Province. It has a mild climate often described as a perpetual spring.
