Non-sovereign territories and dependencies: places administered by another country without being a fully independent state, such as an overseas territory, a dependency or a self-governing region short of sovereignty. Each entry records the administering country, its geographic frame and its constitutional status, distinct from the fully sovereign countries carried under the Countries category and from a country's own internal states or provinces.
