Palmerston is a planned satellite city of Darwin, the capital of Australia's Northern Territory, situated about 20 kilometers from the Darwin central business district and 10 kilometers from Howard Springs. It had a population of 33,695 at the 2016 census, the second largest in the Northern Territory, growing to 37,247 by the 2021 census.
