Montserrado County is a county in the northwestern portion of Liberia containing the national capital, Monrovia. One of Liberia's 15 counties, it had a population of 1,920,914 at the 2022 census, the most populous county in the country, across an area of about 1,913 square kilometers. Bensonville, not Monrovia, serves as the county's own capital.
