Badlands

Badlands are a type of dry terrain where softer sedimentary rocks and clay rich soils have been extensively eroded. They are marked by steep slopes, minimal vegetation, little substantial regolith, and a high density of drainage channels. Ravines, gullies, buttes, and hoodoos are common features within badlands.
